In the event, that a major hurricane threatens a direct hit to Broward County and the LSBC marina all club members have an open invitation to trailer their boat to my secure ten-acre hobby farm located in the center of the state 1.5 hours drive from the club location. This is offered at no charge to club members only.

Members, As per LSBC lease section 4.3, rent to Broward County Aviation Department increases every year on June 1. The increase is 3% or CPI Multiplier, whichever is greater. This year the CPI is 8.542% or a rent dollar increase from $38,000 to $41,249.19 monthly. An addition of $9,747.57 is due for the deposit. Our Treasurer has the plan below to cover the increased lease cost. We will be voting on this plan at our July Board and General meeting. The Treasurer will provide more details during his report. If the motion passes, the new charges will be effective for the July 15, 2022 billing cycle.  LEASE INCREASE Net (of sales tax) monthly billing $55,780.69 Lease increase June 1,2022 to May 31,2023 with deposit $32,491.90 /6 months = $5,415.31/month rate increase of 10% shown in Italic. All LSBC members with boats stored at our facility are required to maintain a current Florida Registration. Also, if the boat is in a slip in the basin the boat owner must carry liability insurance. The liability minimum is $300,000 and the policy must list LSBC as an additional insured. The boat registration and insurance policy can be emailed to documents@l-s-b-c.com or dropped off at the dockmaster's' office.
